Update: 7/28/11: After running into several issues with Internet Explorer, I had to revert to the old look for the time being…sorry for the false alarm.
It’s been just over four years since the last major renovation to the OldSchoolHipHop.Com Message Board.
I was beginning to think the place looked a bit dated, so I figured if I was going to change it up, I’d go for something pretty drastic.
All the same features are still around and generally the layout is the same, but now with more updated look.
I’m sure it’ll take a little while to get used to, but hopefully it’ll catch on.
There are a few other changes behind the scenes and I’m working on a new spam filter I hope to have up and running in the next couple of days.
If you’ve never been to the message board, now’s a good a time as any to check it out.
Darryl “DMC” McDaniels will have his life story appear on Ovation TV on Sunday July 10th.
The documentary, titled “DMC: Walk This Way”, is directed by artist Justin BUA. It will cover DMC’s life from childhood, to Run DMC, and life after his peak of fame that included losing his voice and discovering that he was adopted (an event that has already received a lot of media attention).
Several other hip hop legends will make appearances to help comment on DMC’s life.
Looks like several Old School Hip Hop Legends will be heading out on tour this fall.
Check out the Return of the Kings website for more information.
Also, here’s a video featuring The Furious 5 and Kurtis Blow.
