Mike C<br \/>\n La Shubee<br \/>\n Barry Bistro<br \/>\n G-man<br \/>\n Reggie Reg<br \/>\n DJ Darryl C (d. late 1990&#8217;s)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Formed in Harlem in 1977 by a group of high school pals, they began  giving performances at neighborhood playgrounds.<\/p>\n<p>Mike C worked in a recording studio and invited the crew down there.\u00a0  They wrote rhymes on the way there and the song turned into the hip hop  classic &#8220;High Powered Rap.&#8221;\u00a0 They pressed the records themselves and  sold them out of their trunks right to their fans.<\/p>\n<p>Someone of Sugar Hill Records heard the song and gave it to <a href=\"\/artists\/emcees\/furiousfive.htm\">Grandmaster  Flash and The Furious Five<\/a> to perform.\u00a0 This caused a bit of a  feud between the two groups for a time.<\/p>\n<p>Eventually the Crash Crew signed on to Sugar Hill Records and recorded  several tracks.<\/p>\n<p>EK Mike C lives in NY and drives transit buses.\u00a0 Barry works as a security guard at the Nation&#8217;s Capitol.\u00a0  La Shubee is the assistant director at NYU food services.<\/p>\n<p>A new release of their singles was released this in 2000.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Check out &#8220;High Powered Rap&#8221;<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"youtube\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" class=\"youtube-player\" type=\"text\/html\" width=\"425\" height=\"344\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/bOXoyST9ux8?wmode=transparent&amp;fs=1&amp;hl=en&amp;modestbranding=1&amp;iv_load_policy=3&amp;showsearch=0&amp;rel=1&amp;theme=dark\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><a href=\"\/artists\/emcees.htm\">Back to MC&#8217;s Biographies<\/a><br \/>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Members E.K.
