Superappin- Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five This compilation is quite effective particularly if you are looking for early recordings of Flash, Spoonie, and the Treacherous Three, all of whom recorded later for Sugar Hill Records.<\/p>\n “Superappin” is one of the first Furious Five recordings.\u00a0 Spoonie’s “Love Rap” earned him the image as the love rapper as its subject matter differed from most of the other songs of the time.\u00a0 Doug E. Fresh displays his early beat box skills nicely on “Just Having Fun.”\u00a0 It is also one of the few discs that has any track by the Fearless Four other than “Rockin’ It.”<\/p>\n But the real find from this disc is “The New Rap Language.”\u00a0 You can’t listen to it and not realize the impact that this group had on future rappers.<\/p>\n This is one of the discs that helped me rediscover the Old School. – JohnG<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Label: Hot Year: 1989 Click to Buy it From Amazon.Com Song Listing 1.
