Reviews

Okay so most of the tracks on this disc are not relevant to this site, but there are few that are.

“I Need a Freak” is not a great song by any stretch, but it has a cool little bassline.  Jimmy Spicer will never be able to top “The Adventures of SuperRhymes” (which is not easy to find), but this one is still worthy of a listen.  How can you not like “The Show?”  I don’t see how you can like hip hop at all and not dig this classic.  This song showcases both Doug’s vocal and beat box talents as well as Rick’s story raps that he is famous for.  A perfect old school track. There aren’t many people who remember Rock Master Scott and the Dynamic Three, but who doesn’t know the chorus of this call and response record, “The Roof- The Roof-The Roof is on Fire/We don’t need no water let the muthaf*&@er burn!”  I think the beat to the Biz Markie track is one of the funkiest ever.  Not a great disc, but as stated, there are a few reasons to check it out. –  JohnG
